CDC director calls West Nile, SARS "the new normal''
Emerging infectious diseases such as West Nile virus, SARS and monkeypox are "the new normal," the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday, adding that the national public health system must change its approach to medicine to respond to this emerging threat.Posted by Timothy Fredel at June 14, 2003 12:15 AM | TrackBack
