May 30, 2003The Storage Market Continues to Defy PredictionsStorage vendors have been forced to become more hardware neutral as the storage business becomes increasingly commoditized. In a strategic move that would have been unheard of two years ago, EMC has moved to an open-software model, with products that will run other companies's software, and vice versa.
